At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our Porcelain Veneers represent the height of Artistic Dentistry — blending masterful craftsmanship with advanced digital precision. These ultra-thin ceramic shells are carefully bonded to the front of your teeth, enhancing their colour, shape, and alignment with remarkably natural-looking results.
Each veneer is custom-designed by our Aesthetic Dentists in collaboration with Master Ceramists to harmonise perfectly with your unique facial features. Crafted from high-quality, pressed porcelain, they are non-porous, stain-resistant, and reflect light just like natural enamel — giving you a confident, radiant smile that stands the test of time.
The Brisbane Smile Boutique Veneer Process
Your journey begins with a comprehensive smile consultation, where we assess your goals, tooth structure, and facial harmony.
Step 1 – Smile Assessment & Digital Preview
We take detailed photographs, 3D scans, and discuss your desired outcome. Using digital smile design, you’ll see a simulation of your future smile before any treatment begins.
Step 2 – Veneer Design & Custom Fabrication
Your veneers are individually designed for shape, colour, and symmetry. They are crafted in a premium dental laboratory to ensure superior fit, strength, and aesthetics.
Step 3 – Precise Placement
Once your veneers are ready, we bond them securely using advanced adhesive technology. Because they are ultra-thin, only minimal adjustment (if any) to your natural tooth is needed.
Step 4 – Final Polish & Smile Reveal
After careful finishing and polishing, you’ll leave our clinic with a confident, natural-looking smile that reflects who you truly are.
NO PREPARATION VENEERS
No prep veneers are ultra thin and designed to be placed without altering the natural tooth structure. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, this conservative option may be suitable for select patients who already have ideal tooth positioning or minimal crowding. These veneers are bonded directly onto the enamel without any drilling or reduction, maintaining the integrity of your original teeth while still achieving a polished, natural-looking result.
No preparation veneers are crafted with the same artistic and functional care as traditional veneers and provide a reversible-like approach for enhancing your smile with minimal intervention.

A porcelain veneer requires two visits
Diagnosis and treatment planning.
Your aesthetic dentist will examine your teeth to make sure dental veneers are appropriate for you. A series of smile design photos will be taken with professional cameras for computer design and analysis of your smile in 2 and 3 dimensions. Digital scans of your teeth will be taken to analyse your bite to ensure that porcelain veneers will match in to your bite for a durable solution
Preparation. To prepare a tooth for a veneer, your aesthetic dentist may refine half a millimetre of enamel from the tooth surface, which is an amount equal to the thickness of the veneer to be added to the tooth surface, and scan your teeth and bite. In some circumstances no tooth structure is removed, in a procedure known as no preparation (or no prep) veneers, however this is dependent on a number of factors, such as your bite and the angle that the tooth sits at. The scan is sent out to our master ceramist team who will design your new smile on the computer, by lining up your smile and analysing your facial proportions in collaboration with your aesthetic dentist, and 3D models are the printed with a smile mock up index so that you can see your new smile come to life in a process called smile trial or try in. Our master ceramists then press and layer the porcelain veneers in the lab within 3 weeks. In the meantime, your cosmetic dentist will place temporary veneers for you so you will look fine until your new porcelain veneers are completed. It is important to be gentle and careful with temporaries, since they are designed to be removed some weeks after they are first placed for you.
Bonding. Your tooth will be cleaned and prepared for seamless bonding and a specialised cement is applied to the veneer which is is then placed on your tooth. Once properly positioned on the tooth, your cosmetic dentist will apply a light beam to the dental veneer, which activates the cement, causing it to set.
-
With excellent home care and regular dentist and dental hygiene appointments, porcelain veneers can last 10 years of longer. It is important to brush twice a day, floss daily and to limit sugary foods and drinks, just as you would with natural tooth structure. Your dentist and dental hygienist need to check on your porcelain veneers every 6 months, along with professional scaling and cleaning to ensure that the veneers stay in excellent condition. Your dentist may recommend a night guard to protect the porcelain in your bite and to prevent wear and tear from clenching or grinding from affecting chipping or debonding them.
Minimal Preparation Porcelain Veneers
Enhance your smile with minimal impact. These ultra-conservative veneers refine tooth shape, colour, and symmetry while preserving natural structure.
Less invasive. More you.

Both veneers and crowns are crafted from high-quality porcelain and enhance the appearance and function of a tooth. Veneers are ultra-thin shells bonded to the front surface, ideal for aesthetic refinement when the underlying tooth is healthy. Crowns, by contrast, cover the entire tooth and are used when more structural support is needed—often after damage, decay, or root canal treatment. Your dentist will recommend the most appropriate option based on your tooth’s condition and your goals.

A Smile Makeover at Brisbane Smile Boutique is a personalised, multi treatment approach to transforming your Smile.
Our Experienced Cosmetic Dentists combine techniques such as Teeth Whitening, Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, Invisalign, Implants, and Tooth Bonding to suit your unique facial features and Smile goals.
AESTHETIC SMILE ELEMENTS
Tooth Length: Lengthening worn or short teeth with bonding or veneers adds youthfulness. A gum lift can help teeth appear longer.
Tooth Proportions: Balanced smiles follow a 4:5 width-to-length ratio of central incisors. This proportion guides symmetry.
Texture & Character: Veneers and crowns can be designed to reflect light like natural enamel, with customisation for a feminine or masculine smile feel.
Every makeover is planned collaboratively, and delivered by our experienced aesthetic dental team with meticulous attention to detail and patient preferences.

Your Questions about Porcelain Veneers, Answered
-
A: Porcelain veneers are one of the most durable and popular cosmetic dental solutions, designed to give you a flawless, natural-looking smile. On average, they last 10–15 years, but with excellent care, some veneers can last even longer. Several factors influence the longevity of your veneers, including oral hygiene habits, diet, and lifestyle choices. Avoiding hard foods, nail-biting, or grinding your teeth can help protect them.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced dentists use high-quality, lab-fabricated porcelain and precise placement techniques to ensure your veneers are strong, stain-resistant, and perfectly shaped to suit your smile. Regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings are essential to monitor their condition and maintain your oral health.
Veneers not only improve aesthetics but also strengthen teeth that are chipped, discoloured, or slightly misaligned. Our team works closely with each patient to create customised, long-lasting smile solutions that are tailored to your individual features. With proper care, maintenance, and a healthy oral routine, porcelain veneers can provide you with a beautiful, confident smile for over a decade, helping you look and feel your best every day.
-
A: Porcelain veneers are considered a long-term cosmetic dental solution, but it’s important to understand that they are not technically permanent. To place veneers, a thin layer of enamel is usually removed from the front of your teeth to allow the porcelain to fit perfectly. This process is irreversible, which means once veneers are applied, the treatment cannot be undone.
While veneers are highly durable and can last 10–15 years or more with proper care, they may eventually need to be replaced due to wear, damage, or changes in your natural teeth over time. Maintaining good oral hygiene, avoiding hard or sticky foods, and attending regular dental check-ups can help extend the lifespan of your veneers.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced dentists use high-quality porcelain and precise techniques to create customised, natural-looking veneers that blend seamlessly with your smile. We guide each patient through the process, explaining how veneers work, their benefits, and how to care for them, so you can enjoy a confident, long-lasting smile.
Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for correcting chipped, discoloured, or slightly misaligned teeth, providing both aesthetic improvement and enhanced tooth protection. While they are not permanent in the strictest sense, they are a durable, long-lasting solution that can dramatically improve your smile for over a decade with the right care.
-
A: Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for patients looking to improve the appearance of their smile. They can correct chipped, worn, discoloured, or slightly misaligned teeth, giving you a smooth, even, and natural-looking smile. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced dentists assess each patient individually during a consultation, considering your dental health, bite, and aesthetic goals.
Veneers may be ideal if you want long-lasting results that enhance your teeth without undergoing more invasive treatments. During your appointment, we discuss your expectations, show examples of previous smile transformations, and determine whether veneers—or an alternative cosmetic dental solution—are the best choice for you. With careful planning and high-quality materials, porcelain veneers in Brisbane can provide a durable, beautiful smile tailored to your features.
-
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we understand that choosing porcelain veneers is a big decision. To ensure you love your new smile, we use Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up process. DSD allows us to digitally plan your veneers, showing exactly how they will look in terms of shape, size, and alignment before any treatment begins. The smile mock-up lets you see and even try your proposed veneers in your mouth, so you can provide feedback and feel confident about the final result.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr Leila and our expert dental team guide you through every step, making adjustments as needed to match your facial features and personal preferences. This personalised approach ensures that your porcelain veneers in Brisbane not only look stunning but feel natural and suit your lifestyle.
-
A: Yes, porcelain veneers can effectively improve the appearance of mildly crooked, uneven, or misaligned teeth. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that cover the front surface of your teeth, allowing our dentists to create a smooth, straight, and symmetrical smile. While veneers don’t physically move your teeth like braces or Invisalign, they can mask imperfections, making your teeth appear perfectly aligned.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced team, led by Dr Leila with over 25 years of experience, carefully assesses each patient to determine the most suitable cosmetic solution. Using Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up, we plan the shape, size, and position of each veneer to achieve a natural, balanced smile that complements your facial features.
Veneers are an excellent option if you want immediate aesthetic improvement without lengthy orthodontic treatment, and when combined with our expert planning, they provide a long-lasting, confident smile tailored to your unique needs.
-
A: At Brisbane Smile Boutique, porcelain veneers start from $1,900 per tooth. While it’s possible to find cheaper options elsewhere, we only work with the most highly rated master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney to ensure exceptional quality and long-lasting results. Our veneers are crafted using the highest aesthetic layered Emax material, renowned for its strength, translucency, and natural tooth-like appearance.
Each veneer takes approximately three weeks to create and is meticulously handcrafted under a microscope by a highly skilled team. This precise process ensures a perfect fit, natural colour blending, and durability that mass-produced or cheaply made veneers cannot match. Choosing high-quality veneers is an investment in a smile that not only looks stunning but is also durable and long-lasting.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced dentists, including Dr Leila with over 25 years of experience, guide you through every step—from consultation and Digital Smile Design planning to the final placement—so your veneers are customised perfectly for your facial features and personal smile goals. Investing in premium veneers means your new smile will maintain its beauty, function, and natural appearance for many years.

At Brisbane Smile Boutique, getting porcelain veneers is a carefully planned and personalised process to ensure you achieve a natural, long-lasting smile. The journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with Dr Leila, who has over 25 years of experience in cosmetic dentistry. During this consultation, we assess your dental health, discuss your smile goals, and take detailed photographs and impressions of your teeth. This allows us to fully understand your bite, tooth shape, and facial features.
Next, we use Digital Smile Design (DSD) to create a precise digital plan of your new smile. This technology allows you to see a preview of your veneers before any work begins. We also provide a smile mock-up, which temporarily places the proposed veneers on your teeth so you can see, feel, and provide feedback on the shape, size, and colour. This step ensures that your final smile is perfectly tailored to your facial aesthetics and personal preferences.
Once the plan is finalised, your veneers are meticulously crafted by the highest-rated master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney using layered Emax porcelain. Each veneer is handmade under a microscope to ensure precision, translucency, and a natural tooth-like appearance. The crafting process typically takes around three weeks, allowing for detailed layering and finishing to achieve superior aesthetics and durability.
Finally, the veneers are placed by our experienced dentists. We carefully bond each veneer to your teeth, making precise adjustments to ensure comfort, alignment, and a flawless finish. The result is a customised, long-lasting smile that not only looks beautiful but also functions naturally. We provide full aftercare instructions and schedule follow-up visits to ensure your veneers remain healthy and stunning for many years.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our combination of advanced technology, master craftsmanship, and personalised care ensures that your porcelain veneers provide a confident, radiant, and perfectly balanced smile tailored just for you.
-
A: Caring for porcelain veneers is similar to caring for your natural teeth, but there are additional steps to protect your investment. Brush twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, and avoid biting hard objects such as ice, pens, or fingernails. Regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings at Brisbane Smile Boutique are essential to maintain the veneers’ appearance and longevity.
Many patients also require an occlusal splint (bite guard) to protect their veneers from the forces of their bite, especially if they grind or clench their teeth at night. This helps prevent chipping, cracking, or premature wear, significantly extending the life of your veneers.
We also advise avoiding excessive coffee, tea, red wine, and smoking to preserve the veneers’ natural brightness. With proper care, follow-up visits, and the use of an occlusal splint when recommended, high-quality veneers can stay beautiful and functional for over a decade, giving you a durable, confident smile that enhances both aesthetics and oral health.
-
High-quality porcelain veneers are highly stain-resistant, unlike natural teeth, because the porcelain surface is smooth and non-porous. This makes veneers an excellent choice for maintaining a bright, natural-looking smile. However, over time, the bonding material used to attach the veneers or the surrounding natural teeth can develop slight discoloration, and veneers can also be affected indirectly by habits that stain natural teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, red wine, or smoking.
To maintain the appearance of your veneers, it’s important to practice excellent oral hygiene at home, including brushing twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste and flossing daily to remove plaque and prevent gum inflammation. Additionally, we recommend professional dental care: regular check-ups and professional scale and clean appointments at Brisbane Smile Boutique. These visits help remove surface buildup that can affect both veneers and natural teeth, identify early signs of wear or damage, and ensure your oral health remains optimal.
Many patients also benefit from an occlusal splint if they grind or clench their teeth, as this protects the veneers from chipping or cracking while maintaining their pristine appearance. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced dentists guide you in both preventive care and maintenance strategies, ensuring that your veneers retain their natural translucency, brightness, and long-lasting aesthetics. With proper home care, regular professional cleaning, and follow-up appointments, your porcelain veneers can continue to look stunning, healthy, and natural for many years, allowing you to smile with confidence every day.
-
Porcelain veneers are suitable for many patients looking to improve the appearance of their smile, but they may not be the best option for everyone. Veneers are designed to correct chipped, discoloured, worn, or slightly misaligned teeth, and they can also close small gaps and enhance the overall shape and symmetry of your smile. However, patients with severe bite issues, extensive tooth decay, gum disease, or significantly weakened teeth may require alternative treatments or additional dental work before veneers can be safely applied.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, Dr Leila, with over 25 years of experience, carefully evaluates each patient during a comprehensive consultation. We assess your oral health, bite alignment, jaw function, and aesthetic goals. This ensures that veneers are not only suitable but also the most effective solution for your individual needs.
We also use Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up to plan your veneers precisely, showing you how your smile will look before any permanent work begins. This process allows you to visualise the final result, make adjustments, and feel confident in your decision.
In addition, veneers require a foundation of healthy teeth and gums. Patients are guided through preventive care, including professional scale and clean appointments, regular dental check-ups, and, when needed, the use of an occlusal splint to protect veneers from biting forces. With proper planning, maintenance, and personalised care from our skilled team at Brisbane Smile Boutique, veneers can provide a durable, natural-looking smile that enhances both aesthetics and oral health for many years.
-
Yes. Porcelain veneers can have an impact on your confidence and self-esteem. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we see firsthand how transforming a smile can change the way patients feel about themselves. Veneers correct imperfections such as chipped, worn, discoloured, or uneven teeth, giving you a smooth, natural-looking, and radiant smile that you feel proud to show off in every situation—whether at work, social events, or in photos.
Cosmetic dentistry is not just about aesthetics; it also influences how you interact with others. Many patients report a noticeable boost in self-confidence after receiving custom-designed veneers in Brisbane, as they no longer feel self-conscious about their teeth. The combination of Digital Smile Design (DSD), smile mock-ups, and the expertise of Dr Leila, with over 25 years of experience, ensures that every veneer is perfectly shaped, aligned, and shaded to complement your face and personality.
Moreover, veneers provide a durable, long-lasting solution. Unlike temporary cosmetic fixes, high-quality porcelain veneers maintain their colour, shape, and smooth surface for years when cared for properly, giving you ongoing confidence. Regular check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and, if needed, an occlusal splint to protect your veneers from bite forces, ensure your new smile continues to look flawless.
By investing in porcelain veneers in Brisbane, you’re not just improving your teeth—you’re enhancing your overall presence, facial harmony, and personal confidence. A well-designed smile can positively affect your personal, social, and professional life, making cosmetic dentistry at Brisbane Smile Boutique a life-changing experience for many patients.

The process of getting porcelain veneers at Brisbane Smile Boutique typically takes around three weeks from start to finish, depending on your individual treatment plan. While veneers provide a rapid cosmetic solution compared to orthodontic treatments, creating a long-lasting, natural-looking smile requires careful planning, precision, and expert craftsmanship.
Your journey begins with a consultation with Dr Leila, an experienced Brisbane cosmetic dentist with over 25 years of experience in creating beautiful smiles. During this appointment, we assess your oral health, take impressions, photographs, and digital scans, and discuss your aesthetic goals. Using Digital Smile Design (DSD), we digitally plan your veneers, showing how your smile will look before any permanent treatment begins.
Once the design is finalised, your veneers are crafted by highly skilled master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney using layered Emax porcelain. Each veneer is carefully hand-layered under a microscope to ensure perfect translucency, natural shading, and a precise fit. The crafting process usually takes three weeks to achieve superior aesthetics and durability, something mass-produced or cheaper veneers cannot replicate.
Finally, your veneers are meticulously placed by Dr Leila and our expert team, with adjustments made to ensure perfect alignment, bite, and comfort. We also provide guidance on preventive care, including regular check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and, if needed, an occlusal splint to protect your veneers from bite forces.
Choosing an experienced Brisbane cosmetic dentist ensures your veneers are not only highly aesthetic but also long-lasting and tailored specifically to your facial features, giving you a confident, radiant smile for years to come.
-
Yes. Porcelain veneers can be combined with other cosmetic dentistry treatments to achieve a comprehensive smile makeover. Many patients at Brisbane Smile Boutique choose to complement their veneers with treatments such as professional teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners, gum contouring, or crowns to optimise both the aesthetics and function of their smile.
By combining procedures, we can address issues such as discolouration, misalignment, uneven gum lines, or worn teeth, creating a harmonious, natural-looking smile. Dr Leila, an experienced Brisbane cosmetic dentist, uses Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up to plan all treatments together, ensuring that your veneers match the colour, shape, and proportions of your other teeth.
Integrating veneers with other cosmetic treatments allows for a tailored, long-lasting result. Our team also provides guidance on preventive care, regular professional scale and clean appointments, and, if necessary, an occlusal splint to protect veneers from biting forces. This approach ensures your complete smile makeover is both beautiful and durable, enhancing confidence in every aspect of your life.
-
Coverage for porcelain veneers depends on your dental fund and whether the treatment is classified as cosmetic or restorative. Most standard health insurance policies consider veneers a cosmetic procedure, which means rebates may be limited. However, some plans may provide partial coverage if veneers are necessary to restore function or repair damaged teeth.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we help patients understand rebate eligibility, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options. Dr Leila, a trusted Brisbane cosmetic dentist with over 25 years of experience, will discuss all financial considerations during your consultation, so you can make an informed decision about your smile investment.
Even when insurance coverage is limited, veneers remain a long-term investment in durable, natural-looking, and highly aesthetic teeth. With proper care, including regular check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and preventive measures like an occlusal splint, veneers maintain their appearance and function for many years.
-

-
Composite resin veneers are made from a tooth-coloured resin material that is applied and shaped directly on your teeth, often in a single visit. They are more affordable and minimally invasive but are less durable, prone to staining, and usually last 5–7 years.
Porcelain veneers, on the other hand, are custom-crafted, highly durable, stain-resistant, and long-lasting (10–15+ years). They offer superior aesthetics, translucency, and a natural appearance. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we use layered Emax porcelain veneers, handcrafted by master ceramists to provide the most natural-looking results, making them the preferred choice for lasting cosmetic transformations.
-
To protect your veneers, avoid biting hard foods like ice, nuts, or hard candy, and don’t use your teeth to open packaging. Avoid habits like nail-biting or teeth grinding; if you grind your teeth, we may recommend an occlusal splint to protect your veneers. Limit stain-causing foods and drinks such as coffee, tea, red wine, and avoid smoking to maintain a bright, natural appearance.
Regular professional scale and clean appointments and dental check-ups at Brisbane Smile Boutique are essential to ensure your veneers and surrounding teeth remain healthy, preventing damage and prolonging the life of your investment.
-
There are several types of veneers:
Porcelain veneers: Long-lasting, highly aesthetic, stain-resistant, and custom-crafted.
Composite resin veneers: Quicker and less expensive, but less durable and prone to staining.
Ultra-thin veneers: Minimal tooth reduction required, ideal for minor imperfections.
Minimal preparation veneers: Very conservative, preserving most of the natural tooth structure.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we evaluate your dental health, smile goals, and bite to recommend the most suitable veneer type, ensuring natural, long-lasting results.
-
Ultra-thin veneers are designed to be extremely thin, often requiring little or no removal of your natural enamel. They are ideal for correcting minor cosmetic concerns such as slight discoloration, small chips, or minor gaps. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, ultra-thin veneers are crafted using layered Emax porcelain, giving a natural, translucent finish while preserving your tooth structure.
-
Not always. The amount of enamel removed depends on the type of veneer and your teeth. Traditional veneers usually require a thin layer of enamel removal to allow a perfect fit, while ultra-thin or minimal preparation veneers require little to no enamel removal. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we assess your teeth and customise your treatment to achieve the most natural and conservative approach possible.
-
If you’re unhappy with existing veneers, Dr Leila can evaluate your smile and discuss corrective options. This may involve replacement veneers, minor adjustments, or even redesigning your smile using Digital Smile Design (DSD) to ensure the results are exactly as you want. Our goal is to give you a confident, natural-looking smile you are proud to show off.
-
Replacing veneers involves carefully removing the old veneers without damaging the underlying tooth. The tooth is then prepared, impressions are taken, and new custom veneers are fabricated by our master ceramists. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we ensure the replacement veneers match your natural teeth, bite, and smile goals perfectly.
-
When a veneer is replaced, your tooth is cleaned, prepared, and a new veneer is bonded in place. The process restores the appearance, shape, and function of your tooth. High-quality replacements using layered Emax porcelain ensure the new veneers are durable, natural-looking, and indistinguishable from your other teeth. We match to existing teeth or previous work using professional photos, intraoral scans with master ceramists. This is a complex situation and technically difficult, and your care should be in the hands of only the best experienced cosmetic dentists.
-
Choosing the right veneer shade is one of the most important steps in creating a natural, confident smile. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, Dr Leila works closely with you to select a colour that complements your skin tone, facial features, and personal aesthetic goals.
Most patients choose shades within the OM (Old Master) or A1/B1 scale for porcelain veneers:
OM3: This is the most common shade we use for a natural, healthy smile. It’s bright but still looks realistic and blends seamlessly with surrounding teeth.
OM2: A lighter option for those seeking a more radiant smile without appearing artificial. It’s bright but still natural, ideal for patients who want a subtly enhanced smile.
OM1: Rarely used, as it is extremely light and can appear unnatural, almost “fake,” for most patients.
B1: Known as “natural bright,” this shade is perfect for a striking, yet still believable, smile. It’s a popular choice for patients who want a noticeable but authentic-looking whitening effect.
A1: A mature, natural bright shade. Slightly darker than B1, it’s ideal for patients seeking an elegant and refined look without overly stark contrast.
Darker shades: Ultra-natural and mature options are available for patients who prefer a more understated, classic smile. These mimic natural enamel tones, creating a sophisticated, authentic appearance.
During your consultation, we use Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up to show you how different shades will look in your mouth, under natural lighting, and against your facial features. This ensures your veneers appear balanced, radiant, and completely natural, avoiding the “too white” or artificial look that many patients fear.
Selecting the correct shade is not just about brightness—it’s about creating a smile that harmonises with your face, age, and personality. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced cosmetic dentists guide you through this process so your porcelain veneers in Brisbane look beautiful, natural, and long-lasting.
-
es. When crafted and placed correctly, porcelain veneers can look completely natural and seamlessly blend with your existing teeth. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we focus on every detail of your smile, from the shape and size of each tooth to the colour, translucency, and texture of the porcelain. This ensures your veneers are indistinguishable from natural teeth.
We use layered Emax porcelain from the highest-rated master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney, which allows for subtle shading, depth, and translucency—key factors in creating a truly natural appearance. Veneers made from inferior materials often appear flat or artificial, but our approach mimics the natural enamel’s reflective properties, giving your teeth a lifelike glow.
Our process also incorporates Digital Smile Design (DSD) and smile mock-ups, so you can see and approve the final shape, size, and colour before any permanent placement. Dr Leila, with over 25 years of experience as a cosmetic dentist in Brisbane, ensures each veneer is customised to harmonise with your facial features, age, and personal style.
Additionally, the veneers are finished and polished to match the subtle texture of natural teeth, including the tiny ridges and enamel nuances that make a smile look authentic. This attention to detail ensures that your Brisbane porcelain veneers not only look beautiful but also feel natural, giving you confidence every time you smile.
With proper care—including professional scale and clean appointments, regular check-ups, and an occlusal splint if needed—your veneers will maintain their natural appearance for many years, making them a long-lasting, high-quality investment in your smile and self-confidence.
-
bsolutely! One of the most common concerns patients have about porcelain veneers is that their new smile might look artificial or “too perfect.” At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we specialise in creating natural-looking veneers that enhance your smile while maintaining authenticity.
The key to a natural appearance lies in customisation and high-quality materials. We use layered Emax porcelaincrafted by master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney, which allows for subtle variations in translucency, shading, and texture—just like natural enamel. This ensures your veneers reflect light in the same way as real teeth, giving your smile a lifelike, radiant quality.
We also use Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up during your consultation. This allows you to see, feel, and approve your smile before any permanent work begins. Dr Leila, with over 25 years of experience as a cosmetic dentist in Brisbane, carefully considers tooth shape, size, alignment, and shade to ensure your veneers harmonise with your facial features, age, and personality.
Natural-looking veneers are not just about colour—they also replicate the microtexture of natural teeth, including tiny ridges, translucency near the edges, and realistic contours. By paying attention to these details, your veneers will look and feel authentic, avoiding the flat, artificial look often seen with lower-quality veneers.
Additionally, our team provides guidance on long-term maintenance. Regular check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and the use of an occlusal splint if you grind your teeth all help preserve the natural look of your veneers over time.
With the right planning, expert placement, and premium porcelain veneers, you can achieve a beautiful, confident, and natural smile that looks like it’s always been yours. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, creating a natural, radiant, and authentic smile is our top priority.

Yes! At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we can create custom-shaped veneers, including sharp, pointed canines—often referred to as vampire fangs or “eye teeth.” While this is a rarer cosmetic request, our team has the skills and artistry to transform your smile into something truly unique and personalised.
Our master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney craft each veneer with incredible precision, allowing you to choose the exact shape, size, and pointiness of your canines. Whether you want subtle elongation for a playful look or dramatic, sharp fangs for a bold aesthetic, we can design veneers that are functional, natural-looking, and tailored specifically to your preferences.
The process begins with a consultation with Dr Leila, an experienced Brisbane cosmetic dentist with over 25 years of expertise. Using Digital Smile Design (DSD) and a smile mock-up, you can preview how your new canine shapes will look before any permanent work is done. This ensures the veneers match your desired look while maintaining harmony with your overall smile.
Once approved, your custom veneers are meticulously handcrafted using layered Emax porcelain under a microscope. This ensures not only aesthetic precision but also durability, strength, and a natural tooth-like appearance, even with unconventional shapes.
With proper care—including regular dental check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and protective measures such as an occlusal splint if needed—your custom-shaped canines can maintain their stunning appearance for many years.
Whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement or a bold “vampire fang” statement, Brisbane Smile Boutique offers the expertise, artistry, and technology to make your smile uniquely yours.

Yes! At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we can customise porcelain veneers to include diamonds or other jewels, creating a truly unique and eye-catching smile. While this is a rare and highly specialised request, our team has the experience, precision, and artistry to safely incorporate small, high-quality stones into your veneers without compromising their strength or functionality.
These veneers are made with the same premium layered Emax porcelain used for all our custom veneers, ensuring durability, natural aesthetics, and long-lasting performance. Each jewel is carefully embedded and polished to blend seamlessly with the tooth surface, giving a luxurious, bespoke effect while maintaining comfort and proper bite alignment.
The process begins with a consultation with Dr Leila, an experienced Brisbane cosmetic dentist with over 25 years of expertise, who will assess your teeth, discuss your design preferences, and guide you on safe and effective placement options for your jewels. Using Digital Smile Design (DSD), we can create a visual simulation of how the encrusted veneers will look in your smile, so you can approve the design before production.
Your custom veneers are then crafted by our master ceramists in Brisbane and Sydney, who integrate the jewels with meticulous precision. The result is a dazzling, one-of-a-kind smile that is both functional and visually striking.
As with all veneers, proper care is essential. Regular dental check-ups, professional scale and clean appointments, and, if needed, an occlusal splint will help maintain the integrity of your veneers and the security of any embedded jewels.
Whether you’re looking for subtle sparkle or a bold statement, Brisbane Smile Boutique can create bespoke, jewel-enhanced veneers that reflect your personality and style while preserving the highest standards of cosmetic dentistry.

Porcelain veneers are highly durable, but they are not indestructible. To ensure your veneers last for many years and maintain their natural appearance, there are certain foods and habits you should avoid.
Hard foods: Avoid biting directly into ice, hard candy, nuts, or unpopped popcorn kernels, as these can chip or crack your veneers.
Sticky foods: Chewy candies, caramel, or taffy can dislodge or loosen veneers if bitten down forcefully.
Acidic foods and drinks: Frequent consumption of citrus fruits, sodas, or acidic beverages can weaken the bonding material over time. While the porcelain itself is stain-resistant, the adhesive holding the veneer can be affected.
Foods that stain: While porcelain veneers resist staining, your natural teeth and bonding material can still discolour. Limit coffee, tea, red wine, soy sauce, and dark berries, or rinse/brushing shortly after consumption.
Biting non-food items: Avoid habits like nail-biting, pen chewing, or opening packages with your teeth, as these can damage veneers.
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, our experienced cosmetic dentists, led by Dr Leila, also recommend additional protective measures, such as:
Night-time occlusal splints for patients who grind or clench their teeth.
Regular check-ups and professional scale and clean appointments to ensure both veneers and surrounding teeth remain healthy.
By following these precautions, your porcelain veneers in Brisbane can maintain their beauty, function, and longevity, giving you a confident, natural-looking smile for many years.

Bleeding gums around porcelain veneers is not normal and should be addressed promptly. While veneers themselves do not cause gum bleeding, it can be a sign of gum inflammation, plaque build-up, or improper oral hygiene. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we prioritise both the health of your veneers and your surrounding gum tissue to ensure a long-lasting, beautiful smile.
Common causes of gum bleeding around veneers include:
Gingivitis or early gum disease: Plaque or tartar accumulating at the gum line can cause inflammation, redness, and bleeding.
Improper oral hygiene: Even with veneers, it’s essential to brush twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste and floss carefully to clean along the gum line.
Poorly fitting veneers: Rarely, veneers that do not sit flush against the tooth can irritate the gums, leading to inflammation and bleeding.
Brushing or flossing trauma: Aggressive brushing or flossing can injure sensitive gum tissue.
What to do:
Schedule a check-up with a trusted Brisbane cosmetic dentist like Dr Leila as soon as possible. She will examine your veneers, gums, and bite to identify the cause of bleeding.
Professional scale and clean: Regular cleanings remove plaque and tartar that may irritate your gums. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we provide gentle but thorough professional cleaning to protect both your veneers and gums.
Improved oral hygiene: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush, gentle brushing technique, and floss carefully along the gum line. Antimicrobial mouth rinses may also help reduce inflammation.
Evaluate veneers if needed: If veneers are contributing to gum irritation, minor adjustments may be recommended to ensure a precise, comfortable fit.
Addressing gum bleeding early is critical to maintaining healthy gums and long-lasting veneers. With proper care and attention from an experienced team, including Dr Leila’s 25+ years of expertise in cosmetic dentistry in Brisbane, you can protect both your smile aesthetics and gum health, ensuring your veneers continue to look natural and beautiful for years.

Veneer Aftercare and Longevity
Your new smile is an investment in confidence — and with the right care, your veneers can stay beautiful and functional for many years. At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we design and place veneers using the highest quality porcelain and adhesive materials to ensure both strength and aesthetic longevity.
How Long Do Veneers Last?
With proper care, both ultra-thin and traditional veneers can last anywhere from 10 to 15 years or more. Their lifespan depends on your oral hygiene routine, lifestyle habits, and regular dental maintenance.
Because ultra-thin veneers require minimal tooth preparation, they can often be replaced or refreshed more easily in the future if needed — giving you flexibility for long-term care.
Caring for Your Veneers
Looking after your veneers is simple and similar to caring for your natural teeth. We recommend:
Brushing twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste
Flossing daily to keep the gumline healthy
Avoiding biting or chewing very hard objects such as ice, pens, or fingernails
Rinsing after consuming highly pigmented foods and drinks like coffee, tea, or red wine
Your veneers are highly stain-resistant, but maintaining good oral hygiene will keep them bright and fresh for years to come.
Protecting Your Smile
If you have a history of teeth grinding (bruxism) or clenching, we may recommend a custom night guard to protect your veneers and natural teeth from unnecessary wear. This simple, comfortable appliance can greatly extend the life of your smile.
Regular Professional Care
Scheduling routine dental visits — usually every six months — allows our team to check your veneers, clean gently around their edges, and ensure your gums remain healthy. During these visits, we can also polish your veneers to maintain their smooth, glossy appearance.
Lasting Beauty with Brisbane Smile Boutique
At Brisbane Smile Boutique, we take pride in creating veneers that not only look beautiful but also function naturally for years to come. Our precise techniques, premium materials, and ongoing care help ensure your smile remains as radiant as the day it was placed.
